PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION:

Lilac Villa is a private, non-profit organization, which was created for the purpose of developing a Life Care Senior Citizen Residence. It was organized to promote and build richer and more productive lives with the self-help approach; to promote assistance from all possible sources; to encourage self-help programs for the effectiveness of adequate living standards and to promote the process of “Aging in Place”.

SIZE AND SCOPE OF ORGANIZATION:

Pre-architectural plans have been completed. The feasibility study determined the plans for the Senior Citizen facility is presently estimated at a minimum of 20 units.

The staff will consist of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, aides, under the direction of medical doctors, a consulting staff, volunteers, licensed technicians, social workers, and the necessary administrative staff.

The present Board consists of six active members and three advisory board members. Most are professional and business persons whose experiences are considered to be important to the organization.

The current by-laws specify ``the number of directors to increase as required.'' We plan to add more directors. The Board meets 4 times a year for approximately 1 hour in each case. Average attendance is 75 per cent.
